Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) involves taking blood from your vein and spinning it down in a centrifuge to achieve the highest concentration of platelets and plasma. It contains various molecules that help in the repair of damaged tissue. There are growth factors, cytokines, messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA), micro ribonucleic acid (microRNA) and other proteins that are key in the healing process. PRP is integral to all of the regenerative procedures that we utilize. PRP is beneficial for the spine, joints, hair, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and other areas of the body as well. PRP must undergo a healthy inflammatory phase before the healing process begins.
