TMJ Pain
What are some of the most common causes of TMJ pain?
Common causes of TMJ pain include teeth grinding (bruxism), stress and anxiety, jaw injuries, misaligned bite (malocclusion), arthritis in the jaw joint, excessive gum chewing, poor posture, hormonal changes, and overuse of jaw muscles due to habits such as nail biting or chewing on hard objects.

What does treatment for TMJ dysfunction involve?
Sometimes, the pain from TMJ disorder originates directly from the joint, while at other times, it may stem from the masseter and temporalis muscles.
