Platelet Poor Plasma and PPP
Platelet Poor Plasma and PPP
Platelet Poor Plasma and PPP is a byproduct of PRP. The goal is to obtain only the plasma portion of the concentrate – eliminating the platelet and white blood cell layer. PPP is thought to improve chondrogenesis and cartilage repair to help in slowing down the degenerative process. PPP is used down stream following PRP and bone marrow aspirate. PPP is often combined with hyaluronic acid for othropedic issues. PPP with growth factors often result in improvement in hair density and improvement in pain for the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
